my practice:

My name is Kate Savit, and I’m a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner (DNP) in psychiatry. I am nationally certified by the ANCC to treat patients across the lifespan for most mental health conditions, and I do so from a holistic perspective. Though I am just starting my practice in Sykesville, MD, I bring years of experience in mental health care. I have spent the last 5 years working in addiction medicine in adult psychiatry, ruling in and ruling out bipolar disorder and sorting out anxiety from ADHD. I also completed 2 clinical rotations in pediatric psychiatry and will see patients as young as age 10. No two patients are identical, so no two plans of care are identical. It is of the utmost importance to me that my patients feel seen and heard. After that, it’s a matter of working together to get you to place where you feel mentally well. I will draw from evidence-based therapies and my clinical experience to do this.

Please know that I have a commitment to my patients and my practice to continually expand my knowledge base. If there is something that you want to know about that I don’t yet know, I will find the best answer for you. Medication management is as much an art as it is a science, and I’m always looking for educational opportunities to hone my craft.
